Little Men Sweatshirt

Little Men -Louisa May Alcott

Daisy was one of the few girls at the Plumfield school along with the flock of little men. She took part in their activities, but starved for activities of her own. To create a space of her own, Aunt Joe invited Daisy into the kitchen and gave her the name Sally for their little game of cook. After a few lessons, she became such a delightful cook that dishes from her kitchen were used as rewards for the good boys. While baking a cake and learning about the virtues of baking soda and salt, Uncle Fritz passes by dropping the wisdom that, “Salt is like good humor, and nearly everything is better for a pinch of it.”
